I present to you a selection from the final play of The Bard "Mona and
the Dragon".  Here is the soliloquy of Petarosso from the first act,
also known as the bookie soliloquy.

Petarosso now alone on the stage picks up a newspaper and paces:

Petarosso:  Now to Detroit where cats play ball by foot
            Two wild felines meet, battle on grid of iron
            The Lion and Panther play, victorious the cats
            Who call Carolina home will be this day.

            To Dallas will travel the big men of
            The York that is so New.  Wherein they face
            The Boys of Cows.  To wit this game shall rock.
            But pick, I must, the Giants in game so thus.

            Viking life! Beer. Afloat. Women. and song.
            Scandal doth brew with Rook's and snaps.  Forty-
            Five ticks is all it takes.  What more trouble
            Does Stalk this bunch?  Da claws, Da bite, Da Bears!

            Inner harbor, Bal-more, the Ravens roost,
            Sunday the Browns invade to fight the fight
            The season turn.  For up is only the way
            This team can go.  A win for them they earn.

            To Nashville, Bengals roam.  The place the Titans
            Call home.  The Titans, a trio of stars, will face
            Houshmanzedah, may play or not, for injury
            The others will be enough to gain victory.

            In Tampa the Dolphins and Buccaneers
            Will lead the page of sports until page three
            Where pot head Ricky's story will be found.  The man
            Who left to smoke the dope is back to play
            For 'phins it is their time to rise and shine.

            The city of steel where big ben may not play
            The Jags of Jax a win will look to steal.
            Even so the odds are long, outlook is bleak
            Since Bus is back the Jags are lost this week.

            The Saints I fear to pick since burned am I
            All year.  The better team the Falcons are
            So pick them I will for no choice there is.

            The team this year I hate the most goes to
            K. C.  The Chiefs are healthy and rested
            The 'skins are finally tested.  With loss
            The Redskins will lament this way "We're
            Not in Kansas any more...or is it Missouri?"

            San Diego verily bounds to land of oak
            The Raiders duck and cover for they are bad
            The Bolts, with Tomlinson set to run and 
            The Brees to pass though air and touchdowns score.

            The champs travel to Denver, air is thin
            Yet foul winds blow, the cracks are begin to show
            As Broncos kick and buck and throw.  The champs
            With luck will fail again this day of sun.

            With backs of quarter down, the Bills, the Jets
            Each start a back auxilary.  To pick
            The victor now is ripe. The team at home
            Shall subjugate the out-of-towner Jets.

            The week is not right for Houston to get
            Their ship up right.  The 'hawks from the Northwest
            Will feast upon Texan incompetence.  Houston,
            Only if the Texans could buy a victory.

            Indianapolis, how can one take
            Any team they play?  Defense is crushing, solid
            And smothering.  Poor Rams of St. Louis
            Are to endure, this season, so far, their fourth.

            Now to a phone, my bookie I must call.
