So, there went the wheels. Trying to put them all back on now. Somehow I don't think Conzen's gonna pull a Met-like collapse, so it's got to be a little at a time. Bucs/Lions - I have to cross my fingers and stick with the home team, and hope that Jeff Garcia still isn't on the juic- I mean, still isn't having a great season. LIONS Titans/Texans - mini-upset special. No former Giant fan feels comfortable taking Kerry Collins on the road. TEXANS Pats/Fins - as early as it is in the year, I expect Buonoconti and Czonka and Griese to drag themselves out to the sideline to try that preposterous "aura of '72" crap. Maybe if one of them comes off the sideline and clotheslines Wes Walker.... Nah. PATS 49ers/Giants - the bye week may help, but the Giants can load up in the box, hold Gore to twelve yards, and worry about whose passes they're knocking down after the game. GIANTS Ravens/Bills - mini-upset number two. The Bills will stop kicking wins into the gutter sooner or later, it might as well be now. BILLS Falcons/Saints - Leftwich starts, but for the most part, Harrington played well. The thing is, who's he throwing to? And Leftwich is, if anything, less mobile. This team needed Vick's running to pull opponents out of the secondary for their offense to work. SAINTS Cards/Redskins - call me an idiot, but I'm sick of erasing my first picks and losing because of it. From now on, I'm losing honestly, sticking to my unloaded guns! CARDINALS Jets/Ben-gals - I'd feel better if Clemens were starting off the go. I sure hope they know what they're doing. JETS Chiefs/Raiders - two underrated defenses. Priest Holmes returns. This is the screwiest game... but I have an angle. The Chiefs beat Cincy last week and knocked me out of our survivor pool at work. Revenge Pick! RAIDERS Bears/Eagles - coming off his huge upset over USC, Jim Harbaugh comes back to the NFL and suits up for Chicago, is sacked six times. EAGLES Rams/Seahawks - hope you have Brian Leonard in your roto league, but it won't make enough of a difference. Seattle didn't like that Pittsburgh game, they'll take it out on the crappy Rams. SEAHAWKS Vikings/Cowboys - ok, if you don't have Leonard, you DO have Adrian Peterson... right? Again, maybe not quite enough this time, but it's fun to watch him go. How do so many teams let no-brainers pass them by like this... COWBOYS Steelers/Broncos - there's only one team with pony power in this league right now, and they're playing tomorrow night. STEELERS Colts/Jax - a tough game. I agree with Sports Guy, if this were today, the Jags would be an attractive pick at home, but it's Monday Night, and Peyton doesn't want to disappoint all the people who know him only from his forty-three thousand commercials.
