With the Bragging Rights Pool Title back where it rightfully belongs (ahem, let the bragging commence!), I turn my attention to the four potential Super Bowl matchups, and which one "story" will dominate the next two weeks of coverage. Unfortunately, the Jets ruined the most compelling angle, denying Drew Brees a chance to beat his old team in the big game. That leaves these less interesting options: Jets Vs. Vikings- Brett Favre faces the team he flopped with and dumped last year; both were better off without each other this year Colts vs. Vikings- Peyton Manning vs. Brett Favre; even though neither would share the field at the same time, two of the all-time greatest QBs "face each other" Colts Vs. Saints- Drew Brees vs. Peyton Manning; the touching story of two savior QBs who took their laughing-stock-of-the-league teams that nobody else wanted to lead and turned them into perennial contenders Jets vs. Saints- Arguably the league's best offense vs. arguably its best (or at least hottest) defense Since I don't dislike any of these teams, I'm just rooting for good games. Though if I had to pick the matchup I'd prefer, it would be Colts vs. Saints, so everyone can shut the hell up already about who rested their players and who got cold and lost three straigh after winning their first 13, and instead talk endlessly about how this was so close to being a matchup of two 16-0 teams So yeah, those are my picks. Colts & Saints.
