My picks for this weekend? I've given this a lot of thought. The game to watch on Saturday is the early game, Indy at Buffalo. Depending on which Colts team shows up, this could be an amazing game. Also, there is a burning question about whether the Bills are the real deal; if they are, they could go all the way. If they aren't, they could be one-and-done. Rams at Shehawks is just the latest chapter in a story that already feels old. As for Bucs at the Generics, don't make me laugh!!~ Does anyone really think there is any chance the Bucs lose this game? On Sunday, by contrast, the game to watch is the late game, Browns at Steelers. For a while, Pittsburgh couldn't lose, and lately they can't seem to figure out how to win with any consistency. This is, of course, Cleveland's first trip to the playoffs in a while, but if they can beat the Pittsburgers a second time in two weeks((!) never an easy task), they may be able to be taken seriously next year. Bears at Aints? See my remarks on the Bucs game, above. The Bears are just happy the Packers have the first seed and not the second, because it would suck to have to go to Lambeau to get crushed yet again. This way, at least, they get to lose in a stadium they haven't gotten crushed in this week. At the start of the season, I figured Tuxedos-Ravens might be the AFC Conference Championship game, but both teams have under-achieved mightily this year. No matter how this game plays out, it will feel anti-climactic. So those are my picks of which games to watch. Oh, you want my picks of the _winners_?? Oh. Fine. But I'm only picking the teams that start with 'B'. Bucs win. Bears lose. Browns lose. Bills win. Birds win. Birds lose (the other birds! You know, the ones who used to be the Browns).
